BXX
Alright, my dogbones are trash... I mean real bad. What makes it worse is I have a 5-speed (makes for interesting shifts ) Well the driver side looks to run around $65... I'm not paying that much... Why is it the passenger side for M/T W's are a double style at the radiator support??? Is it ok to substitute the normal single one in it's place?? They are only $14 each to me with my discount from AutoZone... Another though... I remember a tech article somewhere about DIY Urethane bushings... Of course I can't track it down.. Anyone got any info on this... I would like to do it, save some cash. And keep the factory (double dogbone ) mount on the driver side... R Dubya
http://tpsgarage.com/ on the left side under engine upgrades, look for the poly dogbone mount upgrade. There is a good write up there.
BXX
Cool, Thanks a lot man... I remember that site for for some odd reason forgot to bookmark it... So i guess i'm gonna have to buy two sets of the bushings since my driver side dogbone has a total of 3 bushings...
R Dubya
Yeah I did all 4 bushings on my mounts and it is a little rough. I wouldn't suggest doing all of them, but if you need ones that aren't broken this is definetely and option. I paid around $20 per side. BXX
All of them are junk..
Robby1870
What I did is only put poly bushings are the engine side of the mount and kept the rubber on the frame side. For a while I had poly on both sides but it was too rough at in gear idle. Since you got a 5spd, I doubt you would have vibration issues at idle at a stop. BXX
That is what I was thinking since I have a manual, it won't be as severe... I can handle some vibrations... I can't handle my engine rocking back and forth and making it a pain in the ass to shit... Cool thing is I can get them at AutoZone where I work, it runs $20.95 for the set of 4...
