Connecting Computer Speakers For My Car.

I know its been done. Klipsch has done it with some guys truck and someone else did it with Logitech's. I personally have the Klipsch 5.1 Ultra's, but for my car I get a set of Logitechs z560's for free. With an extra sub. How can I get this connected to my car? What do I need? Thanks.

You spend $600 on a fancy alarm system... only to put computer subs in it?

Do I have to drive accross the city to smack you up the back of the head, or will you come here for it??

What ever happened to the wife buying you some subs? does she not love you anymore?? Mine bought ME subs!

Hey, these were free subs and speakers. I rather spend the extra money I have now on suspension and the brake upgrade. :burnout:

I would have to agree... computer speakers don't belong in a car. You'd be better off keeping your stock sound system than doing all the extra work to hook up those computer speakers. If I were you, I'd sell those speakers on ebay, take the money and start buying real car audio stuff.

I would have to agree with everyone else. If you want to get technical, computer speakers typically run at 8 Ohms, whereas car speakers run at 4 Ohms. So if you run computer speakers in a car, you have the risk of blowing something up, either the speakers or your HU. Plus, the PC speakers most likely run off of 120v AC, so you'd need to run an inverter from your battery to power the speakers. It's almost easier to just sell those and buy car stereo equipment.
