If I'm just sucking it through the vacuum line, do I still have to change the oil? I will not be putting it in the crank case, I just want to clean the intake and whatnot.

If you're not putting in the crankcase I dont think changing the oil would be necessary. Might be a good idea considering you will get some blow by, but I dont think it would be necessary.

The blow by was exactly my concern, but since I just changed the oil 500 miles ago, I didn't want to do it again. But this high idle problem is starting to bother me, and as far as I know, it's never been foamed in it's 178,000 mile life.

I changed the oil on my Sonoma and did Sea Foam right after the oil change.

 

The car smoked like a mother fucker! Thick gray smoke, my dad was like "owww man." The fucker barely started after that, and died multiple times after I took it out. I had to keep my foot on the pedal at some lights, till it finally calmed down.

 

Yeah, I need to change my plugs.
