95oldsVan
This stuff is flat out awesome...after I used it on the engine,it really made a difference in the way it runs. The engine smoked for 30 minutes, had alot of carbon build up,but the heaviest smoke lasted for 15 minutes or so then slowly puffed down til it stopped,15 minutes or so later. The smoke screen it made was phenomenal...it was so much it looked like a head gasket exploded.I put half the can into the gas tank and the other 1/4 into the engine through the vacuum hose off the brake booster. Now they tell you to use 1/3 of the can for the top engine cleaning but I used a little bit more since the engine has 166k miles and top engine cleaning, its never been done before. Its now idling much better than before but super steady.Afterwards,I changed 3 of the spark plugs on the back, and will do 3 more tomorrow.(they were a bit worn, had a misfire)Throttle response came back, the front tires will light up now with ease.Im sure alot has to do with new rear plugs too,but man, there is a BIG difference after the cleaning.I needed a tune up but wanted to see what this could do before a tune up and im very satisfied. I plan to use it more often!Just wanted to share this experience since Ive read some of you peoples older posts on how well it worked for you. Q-Ball
All this talk about it makes me want to do it. I replaced my plugs this summer, doing seafoam, would I need to replace them again? I hope not cause they are Bosch Plat 4's.

I'm not at all a mechanic, but is this hard to do. I was reading ppl say they put it in their vacuum, and that kinda worries me. Is there step my step instructions or something with pictures? Yes, Bosch sucks on our ignition systems. I work at Wal-Mart and we do a similar service there; and we go through the brake booster hose also. It's the way they showed all their techs. Yeah, we do it through the Brake Booster but we charge 20 bucks for it. It's stupid they do it in a metered amount, with a vacuum guage attached. Usually it never smokes and it causes the car to throw a SES light. Believe me I have ALOT of stories to tell about Wal-Mart. Generally most stuff is ok, but shit even today, some dumb fuck left the plug out a 99 Regal and I pulled it around to the tire side, and it just left a good 12" puddle. sniperi311
this may sound like a dumb question, but just where is the brake booster, on a 3.1 v6
Supreme Cutlass
this may sound like a dumb question, but just where is the brake booster, on a 3.1 v6 It's the big black thing attached to the master cylinder. Has one big vacuum hose that runs to the back of the plenum. Can't miss it.

97loudcut
Well I didn't change my plugs and when I did change my oil it was still clean. We did my GF's car in our apartment complex and nothing happened.
AWeb80
I personally would do it in the parking lot cause it would be hilarious. I'll prolly smoke a decent amount. I'd say if your plugs are new, your fine. Some people say change the oil afterward, but I never have.....just the 3k mile intervals.
