I personally have had 3 different JVC decks and 2 pioneer decks, and personaly Like the JVC's better. I've found that they have more options, have excellent sound quality and look good to boot.

ALPINE FTW!!

for the wallet?

hmmm. 1 alpine or 2 JVCs  Well I got 2 cars so Im going for 2 JVCs

Yes, JVC FTW. I personally have a KD-LH300. It's about 2 years old now, and still going strong. 3 4v outputs, sub control, and all the formatted playback and inputs I could ask for.

Pioneer. I like the Entertainment Clock mode on the ones with OEL display.

JVC is good too though, I liked both JVC HU's that I've had over the years.

Only HU's I ever had that gave me trouble were Sony MD players back in the mid-90's. I had 3 of them that had problems.

x2, I've got a DEH-P7600MP in the Camaro. It's bananas!

Yup, I had a 7600MP that I sold earlier this year. It was a really nice HU. I like its aesthetics better than the current ones actually.

I'd get a double din for your car

Yeah, I recommended that too, but I don't think he's gonna get much of a double DIN stereo for a $150 budget.

On the other hand, I guess it's not impossible to find one. I did manage to pick up a GM double DIN factory navigation HU for $100 (was $200, but arrived with scratches on the face and screen that weren't in the photo so they offered me $100 back).

Available on select models, Graphic Motion Analyzer lets you see the performance of your vehicle right on the receiver’s display. For example, in Lateral G-Force mode, you’ll see animation of your car turning as you make a right or left turn. In G-Gauges, two gauges display G-forces in real-time while your accelerating and turning. G-Meter displays a numeric readout of G-forces while you’re accelerating and turning, and G-Counter shows G-forces for acceleration over a 1-hour time period. A built-in motion-activated stopwatch can be started and stopped when a key is pressed or when your car experiences forward G-forces, and Horsepower display (2006 and up) calculates your vehicle’s horsepower and will record the maximum horsepower on performance graphs.
