91 LQ1 injectors vs 96 LQ1 injectors

I just looked up the part number for the above, and GM has them listed differently (91 injectors fit ONLY 91's).

 

So, since my car currently has injectors from a 96 Monte Z34 (mice got hungry), I was wondering if anybody here has run them with no issues before.

 

Basically, I'm in the process of resurecting my car after it's sat for a LONG time and am fighting an occiasionaly rich condition..............just wondering if I should go after the injectors or the rest of the myriad things wrong with it

 

Any thoughts/comments?

Umm 91-93 injectors are the same.....

 

Me/z34_nut both are running 96 injectors and we have no problems.

I also had 96 injectors in the Cutlass. IIRC the 96 injectors had some improvement over previous years.

The 91-93 injectors were known to be problematic, and I believe there was a recall on the 5-speed 3.4 cars to replace the injectors with the updated version(that all of you above have).
