Alright im getting the list together for the l67 swap in my 94 GTP..

First im going to find a good engine and trans...

where do i begin ? is there motors that can come rebuilt with fresh parts?

if im looking for 300whp what kind of mods should i look at? i dont want to modify the supercharger right away because thats easy bolt on power i can do later if i want to have more power.

so what you guys think? where should i start working, i have about 2500 bucks to blow right away on the parts and more later probally another 2000.

i'll have to do the swap my self with my brothers help and a mechanics help, but hes ase master cert. so thats why im attempting the swap my self if i run into problems it wont be end of world.

does it pay to get the dhp tuner for your laptop? or should it be tuned by dhp by a one time thing ?

can i program my current car ecm/ecu/pcm what ever it is, or do ihave to use 97-03 computer?

haha thanks alot i know its hell lot of questions

Alright, so here we go.

Standard parts list for l67 swap into 1st gen wbody as said on this site..

Modifications, heres a list i'll put together for my reference mainly but also what you guys think about it, to help me tweak it...

Does the l67 come with an M90? thats the stock charger right?

Alright so performance upgrades for 3800 are...

nice intercooler, if it works with my setup, its there..

ok heres real list from brian

start with this:

1988-1996 W-body cars

1. L67 Series II Supercharged Engine (VIN “1â€ÂÂ)

2. 4T65E – HD Transmission

3. 4T65E – HD Transmission Lines

4. 4T65E – HD Transmission Axles (shorted axles are recommended)

5. L67 Powertrain Control Module (PCM/Computer) Custom DHP recommended **

6. L36 High-Pressure Power Steering Line

7. L36 Monte Carlo or Lumina harness (98-99)*

8. L67 Cruise Control Module & Cable (Optional)

9. L67 Stock or Custom/Aftermarket 97+ Style Exhaust Downpipe

10. L67 Coolant Hoses (New)

11. Walbro High-Pressure Fuel Pump 255 ltr/hr or greater (stock pump will work of low HP appilcations)

12. Upper and Lower Radiator Hoses

13. Heater core lines

14. Belts

for power before the motor goes in. look for a good cam and mild ported heads. also looking headers. there is a company making ones that will fit in to the 1st gen w-body cars with no modding of the fire wall. then at the top do a 3.2" pulley and the new CNC TB I will have out soon. doing that will give you close to a 12 second car which should be around 300 or so WHP. get a laptop with the DHP tuner and that will help even more.

once you have the stuff above you might be able to run a smaller pulley then a 3.2. look into a intercooler and ported blower after that. with a good dyno tune you would be looking at lots of power

Sounds like your well on your way...

I've started compiling information on the swap myself... I'm not going the L67 route... I want to be different! I'm going to get a regular old 3800... and turbo charge it...

But I have to wait till I can afford the swap AND a second car, cause its not going to be something I do over night.

My biggest concern is getting rid of my OBD1.5, although I don't believe that is a concern for you...

The big thing I'm worried about is wiring... I hate wiring!

Keep us posted! and Good Luck!

this dude brian teel will wire yuor harness for you for a few hundered bucks, kind of expensive but for me its worht it , u might want to consider it.

yea i think it sucks i have to get ride of the obd 1.5 in my car too, but then again i can hook up a new console thing from a 98+ gtp into my 94 gtp so really i wont loose any features...

l67swap.com is great for this stuff. altho ti seems they have hacking problems alot.. (my sites suffer from the same :( )

you should get the DHP powertuner for your laptop to tune your car even if u get the chip tuned by professional, u can make small adjustments afterwards , worth it for 400 bucks

Are you planning on rebuilding the lower end of the donor engine beforehand? I am also in the process of an L67 swap, but I am considering building the lower half now since the engne will be out.... Boring, new parts, balancing, etc. The cost will set me back probably 6 months more, but I can always build the top half later..... Just wondering if you had considered building the bottom half first and considered against it........

no i havent thought of that, i just wanted to get the headers on and cam and heads redone before putting it in, then i would go for pulleys and ported charger for the last mods, because if i can get 300whp and not over 400 i'll be happy with justthat

its a DD thats why, and being realistic anyone knows with 250hp u can own ricers... so thats all i care about, a car under 14 seconds is what i want

Fair enough... makes sense to me...I'm shooting for high 12s - low 13s, but mine won't be as much of a DD anymore
