Singh Posted September 25, 2006 Report Share Posted September 25, 2006 yeaso yesterday i was driving my car, its been about a week or so since i finished the new radiator install and flushed the system. I noticed the car had no balls anymore, i couldnt figure it out, felt like i lost at least 50-70 hp out of no where. I raced my friend in his accord 4 door, vtec, not a slow slow car for what it is, but comon it cant be faster than the 3.4 gtp... so yea he whooped my ass in a drag a few times and then kept up with me from stand still race.... that really killed me i didnt wtf was goin on. then the next day (yesterday) smoke was coming out of my driver side louver lool it was kinda coollookin , but it was deftinyl coolant steam. so popped the hood and the smoke is flying out of the head/block area (gasket) so yay. Singh Posted September 25, 2006 Author Report Share Posted September 25, 2006 ok now i'll finish the story cuz i was in a rush yesterday. alright so yea i was driving and then the smoke was flying out of the hood it was crazy, so parked it, looked at it, was coming fromt he head, sweet. Well came to the conclusion that the car has had the leak since i've had it, and that explains the emense amount of stop leak goop in my radiator, and the radiator wasnt even corroded... so the pervious owners, along with hooking up a damn vacuum line to my washer container, have also tried to temporaly fix a head fasket leak with stop leak lolllllllll so now i sit with blown head gasket and pretty mad i was tricket when buying the car, but its alright. now im looking for the L67 engine asap with all the parts i need to finish and complete the swap. i fonud l67swap.com to be mostly usefull. In the meantime, or at the same time actually i'll have to buy another car and because i'll be investing alot of money into the gtp i'll have to hold back on the porsche and buy a jeep cherokee instead for the winter and now.. since i was going to buy one next month anyways. but yes thats pretty screwed up but it explains the stop leak goop in the old coolant system, and it explains the incredible power loss after flushing the system. o well shit happens right? now forming swap parts list.... Singh Posted September 26, 2006 Author Report Share Posted September 26, 2006 near albany but more in the contry, and my other place of residence is clifton park as well ( i live near the lebenan speedway if u know where that is) yea my income lol well i got a new job wich added 4k per month extra to what i already make being an entrepreneur, so it feels good seeing how i dropped out of highschool... but i have hardly any bills, just gas, food, insurance, and two cell phones... thats all anyways i got smoe nice info while surfing the net andzz performance is some kickass stuff !! damn ! i'll be making 300+ whp easily, im very happy with that also i think the swap is going to take a good month if not more, its part time work im going to put in, and i want to get the engine done before it goes into the car. that brian teel guy really knows his stuff !
