1991 GP 3.1 Alternator Vs 1994 GP 3.4 Alternator

Can this type of exchange be done? Is there a diffrence in output (AMPS) or do the mounting bolts differ? Etc.

 

Forget even listening to my tales of woe about WHY I am wondering if this is possible.

I dont think it would be cause the 3.4 would need more power then the 3.1 plus the yrs between the demand for power could have grown a little. All around ill say no.

Same output but different types. 94 is different than 91. 91 3.1 vs 91 DOHC I think is almost the same minus how they clocked the casing for the mounting tabs. Don't quote me on it but thats what I have heard.
