Cam'ron Posted September 26, 2006 Author Report Posted September 26, 2006 take that change outta ur cup holder...cars in Saskatoon have been known to be broken into for 10 cents, and I'm 100% serious on it i got more in my cupholder than i do in my bank account!!! gotta leave it there for safe keeping, remind me to throw the change into the glovebox or my pocket for the meet in the spring Quote
5speedz34 Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 plastic shift knobs suck werd, that was a downgrade if u ask me.......but u didn't! Leather FTW. My dad's 38k Envoy didn't even have a leather one...and it has leather seats! Quote
Cam'ron Posted September 26, 2006 Author Report Posted September 26, 2006 someone show me a pic of this cobrahead one... might be interested. if i can find one for a decnet price Quote
5speedz34 Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 someone show me a pic of this cobrahead one... might be interested. if i can find one for a decnet price Isn't it the same as that one? Just leather wrapped? Quote
Psych0matt Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 i always wanted a leather boot for my shifter in the cutlass.. anyone have any ideas? you saw mine. i just grabbed one from a post gen. slid it up over the bottom part of the shifter, and secured it under the panel (mostly) couldnt be any easier Quote
fastbird232 Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 a post gen. That's right! Fuck your post-gen! Quote
runt Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 someone show me a pic of this cobrahead one... might be interested. if i can find one for a decnet price Isn't it the same as that one? Just leather wrapped? Be like the ones in a 2nd Gen GP? Yes. They 'tis leather wrapped. Quote
fastbird232 Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 Yup. Slap right onto your stock shift lever. Just make sure you get good leverage by putting your face directly over the knob as you attempt to remove it. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted September 28, 2006 Report Posted September 28, 2006 The stock shifter in my 95 was a leather wrapped cobrahead. I put in the old (leather wrapped) t-shifter from my 88 GP... it's lower I like it better for my car. Quote
Psych0matt Posted September 28, 2006 Report Posted September 28, 2006 I have a leather cobrahead from the same car I grabbed the boot from. i should sell it here as soon as i get the truck up here Quote
Cam'ron Posted September 28, 2006 Author Report Posted September 28, 2006 anyone have acobrahead they might be interested in selling Quote
Psych0matt Posted September 28, 2006 Report Posted September 28, 2006 if not one else does, let me know, ill grab it this weekend when ill be close Quote
Cam'ron Posted September 28, 2006 Author Report Posted September 28, 2006 sure just let me know how much... keep in mind i just bought one for 15+ shipping i think... either way 25 came out of my bank account for it... dont be too hard on me Quote
fastbird232 Posted September 28, 2006 Report Posted September 28, 2006 Here's the GTP's old knob in my Grand Am: Only problem is the leather boot doesn't fit over the bottom of the cobrahead. It's not too noticeable, though. Who cares about that, when the simple addition of a former LQ1-shifter just netted me an extra 50 hp? Quote
Cam'ron Posted September 28, 2006 Author Report Posted September 28, 2006 i fixed that problem with the plastic one with a knife, i just cut a groove at the bottom of the knob and was able to pull the boot up over the edge so that it sits in the groove... guess i would be SOL with a leather one Quote
pwmin Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 fwiw, i have rubber floor mats out of an 88 K5 blazer in my gp and they cover most of the floor. not the best pic, but: and i dont know what it looked like b4 so i have no comment, but the interior looks much better! Quote
