cryptnix Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 I'm just wondering if the 1.5 gen will fit under our rears ... i am about to redo the rear this winter and get the whole undercaraige of the car por15'd ... (well obviously the areas that need it) and get a bunch of lines replaced etc. etc. Quote
jdcutty Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 I wanna say that it will not, but i am not possitive about that. Quote
cryptnix Posted September 24, 2006 Author Report Posted September 24, 2006 rear subframe? suspension work Quote
Crazy K Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 I do nbotthink so. I do not know if themy even share the dame longetudel links... the one thaswt go front to bakc on the car. But I do think some one DID install them on his car and it required custom fab work on the strut toweres to accept the lrager diameter of the gen 1.5 reare struts. Quote

GOT2B GM Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 The rear subframe (lateral links, knuckles and trailing arms) would bolt right up, but the strut towers have to be enlarged to accomodate the coil over struts. Quote

GOT2B GM Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 yes, everything should work fine seeing as you have FFP coilovers theres no worries about the leaf. Quote
Crazy K Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 that is some serious drunken typing. Have fun last night Ken? apparently... i have full memories but I think when drunk i become overly self-aware of what I am doing. hard to have too much fun.... I feel like I'm trying to not look drunk when drunk. make sense? The rear subframe (lateral links, knuckles and trailing arms) would bolt right up, but the strut towers have to be enlarged to accomodate the coil over struts. thanks what i was trying to say, so if will fit except fo the coil struts, as i recall.. they must be enlarged. Also the metal that forms the strut towers is supposed to be thicker. so i would worry abotu strength. Quote
5speedz34 Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 The only thing that is different is the strut knuckles. Lateral Links, Monoleaf, trailering arms, swaybar, all the same. Quote
