jdcutty
If it is the heater hose, then it is gonna be around 80 bucks and it's a dealer only item. However you can just cut the metal hose where it is leaking, cover it with some rubber hose and clamp it on each side. Cheap and easy fix. Singh
how hard is this mofo to pull out? do i have to push the engine foward? if i buy a new hose how long is it? ih eard it goes all the way around the rear of the engine and through the firewallll?????? if its really hard to take out and install i'll probally try a cheap fix if i can manage to do it without pulling the hose out the car, the leak is right near the CV shaft from the tranny, and it leaks onto the a arm of the passenger side and onto the ground
SigEpCutlass
Why don't you just go to your local parts yard and find one in good condition and just swap it? That'd save you a lot of $$$ if it's a dealer only item!
Singh
even better i cut the bastard at the firewall and ran a heater hose from there directly to the water pump now it works great ! oly 4 bucks !
THe_DeTAiL3R
I just changed my heatercore.... and I changed both rubber hoses with bulk hose which cost me like $4 for 3ft. The stock bottem hose of the heatercore was a bitch to remove, so I simply slit it with a knife and tossed it. I put the stock upper hose back on, however it was rubbing against the EGR or O2 sensor thing (hot) and burned a hole in it. That was fun, steam everywhere and it still stinks now when I put the heat on. I replaced that hose then as well, so just be careful you keep the rubber hoses away from anything hot! However you can just cut the metal hose where it is leaking, cover it with some rubber hose and clamp it on each side. Cheap and easy fix. I did the exact same thing this spring. Pull the wheel off, unbutton the rubber dirt guards, hacksaw the damaged parts off, and clamp some new hose on there. Works like a charm! Singh
yea thats what i was going to do, but my hose fix goes formt he firewall over the shock tower under the brace thing over the washer bottle and to the puimp, not in the way or touching anything moving or making anything hot so its pretty nice just dosnt look to nice but idc i just gotta drive the car until the swap
patgizz
i replaced the pipe. just had to rock the motor forward like doing the rear plugs. cost about $43 at the dealer. worst part is getting the hose off the heater core.
