ihateallmustangs Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 I have a line on a low mileage 90 GP se. I figure I could buy this early GTP for $150 and swap the bumpers and skirts onto it. But I would like the front to retain the stock lights. So I figure I could cut along the factory edge on both bumpers and put the lower section of the GTP bumper on the 90 GP bumper presto a look alike bumper to the TGP. Anyone done this? Quote
mfewtrail Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Nobody has done this that I know of. Befriend someone that does custom body work or either read a lot before you really attempt something like that. Personally, I would just keep searching for a TGP bumper cover to put on there. I hope you're planning on using an entire TGP/GTP style B4U kit on there as well... Quote
no1kicker Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Best bet is to use the top piece (with the Pontiac logo) from the 90, with the headlight surrounds. And the bottom main part from the GTP. Just remember the GTP doesn't have turn signals in the bumper, but fogs instead. Quote
