gmrulz4u
Does my 89 Cutlass Supreme w/ 2.8 have an AIR PUMP? Or any type of AIR INJECTION SYSTEM such as an AIR DIVERTER VALVE? I can hardly find any information on these topics in other Forums etc... My OBD Scanner has a variable that shows something called an "Air Switch Solenoid" either "ON" or "OFF" and I never really decided to figure out what the hell it actually means, until now! THANKS! Robby1870
the AIR pump you referred to is only on motors equipped with a manual tranny Robby
gmrulz4u
Hmmm...so I wonder why the hell my AutoXray Scanner has a variable for "Air Switch Solenoid"? Would this only be used on Manual trannies as well?
Robby1870
is it throwing codes? I found an "air select switching valve" in my wiring diagram of a 2.8. However, I cant find it any where in the book. Lemme know about the SES codes Robby
gmrulz4u
No no no...I'm just wondering what the hell it is, that's all?
Robby1870
Oh, I updated my last post. I really dont know what it is Robby
GnatGoSplat
It doesn't mean anything. If your car has an auto tranny, it doesn't have one. It's probably a valid parameter because there were manual versions of these cars.
