PCGUY112887 Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 Ok first, sometimes i'm backing out in the morning and as soon as I hit the brakes while rollin back out of my driveway, you feel a pop in the left front brake caliper I guess and a GURR metal sound for a brief second. You can sorta feel it, then after that it doesn't happen the rest of the day. Doesn't happen every morning either. Second, sometimes when backing out and I turn the wheel hard to the side, you can hear what sounds like old metal moaning. It's like a bit of a moan then a few moany sounding pops and it's done. I'm sure it's probally a bushing, but I dunno which one or what to look for? Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 Well if you turn the wheel all the way ( either way ) youll hear the PS whining. And does your car sit outside over night? Maybe damp nights get to the rotors and pads and thats why it only does it once in a while......? Quote
PCGUY112887 Posted September 9, 2006 Author Report Posted September 9, 2006 Yes it sits outside and yes it seems to happen when it gets damp. And it's not the PS pump whine, it's def something else groaning. Quote
jdcutty Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 I would have your wheel bearing checked out. Jack your car up and see if there is any slop at all in the wheel. Quote
