Looking at replacing the fuel pump and sender

I'm looking at replacing my fuel pump and sender since the car has sat since last October, and I need to get the old fuel out of there.

 

If I order a sender through GMPD, and a Walbro pump, everything should be there right? Will I need to order more parts? Any O-rings that need to be replaced? What about the big tank O-ring?

 

Also, I want to get the Walbro 255 lb/hr pump. I know Kenny (TGPilot) replaced his with the Walbro F20000169 in his TGP. This should be the same part number for my car right?

 

I know Josh(turbosedan) has a 255 lb/hr pump, so I'm hoping he'll chime in.

How much gas is in the tank? I dropped mine with a 1/4 tank and it wasnt that bad.

Depending on how much prep work Tony does, it might be me and him dropping the tank down, so I'm not too awful worried if it is less than 1/2 tank.

Who knows? I know Jeremy and I dropped the tank with like 3/4 of a tank.

actually, the only car of mine that has the Walbro 255 is my GTS. my Cutlass just has a cheapo pump that i bought for a TGP application at Advance Auto. a Walbro 255 has been on my to-do list forever now

 

i'm not 100% sure on this, but i think W-bodies after '91 got a sending unit with quick-disconnect fittings. my Cutlass has flare fittings. i had to look around the j/y forever to find one with flare fittings when i replaced mine...i eventually found one from a '90ish Regal. just a FYI when you go to order one.

Should be the same for the TGP. I don't believe that the 3.4 cars got any bigger pump than the 3.1 or tgp cars.

So I talked to timg and he told me the lt1 is the same thing. Is this correct. I need to buy one real fast but dont want to buy one that is not going to bolt right in. Any body got a website.

Well, I just checked the auto parts website(Murray's), and it lists the exact same fuel pump for the TGP as it does the 94 Z34. The above listed PN for the Walbro Fuel Pump (F20000169) should be more than sufficient.
