GutlessSupreme
Should I? besides the rods, crank and pushrods, it's the only thing I haven't bought new (I plan on doing pushrods anyway if I get them cheap enough). Verdict? or don't worry about the drive gear wear
turby
I've never heard of one failing BUT everything else is new so why not replace it? If GM doesn't want an arm and a leg.
mfewtrail
I really doubt anyone has ever replaced the oil pump drive...and I've seen 3.1's last upwards of 300K. The oil pump drive gear in my previous 230K mile engine didn't look to have any real wear on it for what it's worth.
jdcutty
You're already there, what can it hurt?
5speedz34
Look on Ebay I've seen a few before.
Brian P
if the gear teeth aren't pitted and it's otherwise in good shape, use it.
