ODB SOFTWARE FOR 89 CUT 2.8l

I have built a serial cable to attach to the aldl conector on my 89 cutlass 2.8 but i am unable to find software that works for my ECM.

has anyone else done this with this motor/ecm. Which software works and supports this car.

are you trying to tune it, or just to pull codes? if youre trying to pull codes, you just jumper two pins and the light will flash in a series to tell you what the codes are. if youre trying to tune it, then disreguard what I'm saying

I'd reccomend FreeScan, it works for most purposes (data monitoring, etc.) and it's free

pulling the codes is simple, im trying to monitor the engine the the aldl ports with a specific cable i built. im looking for software like

winaldl, efilive etc.. but software that works with my ecm

the software you mentioned does work, you just need the obd-I version and you need to set it to your ecm/vehicle
