rockfangd
hi everyone. i have a 94 cutty 4 dr sedan. 3100 v6 i need to know how many lowe moto mounts, where they are located and how to change them. i changed the dog bone mounts on the front, but problem not solved. any help would be appreciated
GutlessSupreme
1 lower motor mount, hydrualic, pass. side on the bottom of the motor, nested into the subframe. 1 tranny mount, opposite side bolted onto a bracket that stands off the subframe. tranny mount usually isn't the problem. The motor mount leaks and becomes useless. http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php/topic,40223.0.html please don't jack the motor from the oil pan.. or if you do, at least use a long block of wood. SigEpCutlass
damn....definitly something i dont feel comfortable doing myself and if the hydraulic mount starts to leak....its a nasty mess to clean up x2! I know I might need one, but I'm not comfortable doing it either. It's a delicate procedure, and I'm afraid I'd screw it up.

GnatGoSplat
The lower ones shawn. The dogbones are a breeze. The lower is what I'm talking about. Granted, I only replaced the one on the passenger side, but the driver side one didn't look any more difficult.

I guess it's mostly because I've never had to jack the engine up from underneath before. If I were still living with my parents, and had my Dad around I'd try it. GnatGoSplat
I never had that much confidence, I just attempted it and hoped for the best. I figured worst case scenario, I screw up a car that's only worth a thousand bucks tops.
