I pick it up tomorrow, its not the 97 I was asking about. It's a 2000 Red 2-Door GTP. With a sunroof, HUD, Bose CD, etc...it also has tinted windows and a set of flowmasters on it. It has 96k, and I'm paying 6k for the car. It drives amazing, soooo much faster than what I'm used to, and it even feels quicker than the 97 with 63k miles.....FUCKIN RIGHT!

I'm not sure what's happenning with the olds yet, I am going to try and get it running, and if I do, then I might sell it. If I dont, then its either going into storage till I have momeys to fuck with it, or I'll strip it down.

Another one of us.

If you can afford to. I say keep the olds. I regretted getting rid of/not fixing my 95 when i got my gtp.

Cant wait for pics. If its a redfire metallic that is the second best color. To black that is.

So when are you gonna start with the mods? With a pulley, intake, downpipe, & PCM I think you'd be very impressed by how it runs.

i'm sure he's quite impressed right now after driving the cutlass...i know i was when i first got mine...give him a week or 2 then it'll feel slow and it'll be time for mods...hell, my car still feels slow (well, it is slow) until you watch the speedometer...

Great choice. I'm sure you know this already, but it's in your best interest to do the supporting mods before dropping a pulley size.

Have fun. The mods are almost endless for these cars.

after my cutlass ran 3/10ths slower than normal at milan, with a new intake gasket, etc...I might be right behind you. Plus, the $132 bill for new lateral links that should have never bent in the first place doesn't make me feel any better.

And well, we have a 97 Grand Prix GT, 2 '90 Cutlass Supremes and a '94 LQ1 Vert at home, i can quench any cutlass withdrawls....plus i know grand prix's pretty well anyway.

Seems like the Cutlasses are dropping like flys lately :willynilly:

come to erie, pa this weekend with ~$4500 cash and its yours (17" wheels not included but the 5-spokes are)

I havent given up hope on the Cutlass, I'm still going to try and get it going. Now that I have another car, it wont suck so bad having it in "down time".

Are you gonna put your wheels from your cutty onto the GTP? Oh wait...maybe that don't work...

sounds like you got a good deal on that car. 97 gtp's are slower IMO to the rest of the years due to the restrictive stock intake and the fact its a first year car and has alot of bugs in it, hard to control KR, and it gets alot of it. I'd say pick up a set of AL 605's and a 180* T-Stat, best 17 bucks you could spend on a stock car. I have a Reprogrammed pcm and a 3.4 press on if your interested, but besides a dp, the Ubend after the cat is the most restrictive part of the exhaust, that and a nice true FWI will get you good for that 3.4 (my 3 1/2" FWI brings in IAT's of 5 to 10 above ambient temp, and the sensor is still in the stock location)

eww i dont think those wheels would look good

they look good on the cutlass...but i dont think on the red gtp

I dont plan on putting the wheels from the Cutlass onto the GTP. I'm loving the chrome torque stars at the moment. I took some time to clean and powerball them today. I'll get some pics up soon. Mods I'm holding off on. Aside from maybe a k&N FIPK, because I get a good discount through work, I plan on dumping my entire tax return into it in the spring.

dont waste your money on a k&n kit, just get a 3 1/2"x9" long filter and some 3 1/2" flex tube, the stock f duct holds the tube nicely and the tube routes into the fenderwell, getting way colder air than any vendor intake
