havikx Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 well my 93z's tranny went. i have a spare 4t60-e tranny. but it looks like my income just took a great jump and i thought about an l67 and 4t65-hd swap. really..i just want to go faster. i could keep the motor. in which case i'd get a 3" downpipe and heavier injectors. but i cant get a quater mile time with a stock l67 in a z34. which way should i go..keep the lq1 and keep modding it or swap it for l67? sounds so easy but i'm clueless as to what i'd be lookin at stat wise and estimate on things. including labor. 97loudcut Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 I dont think I have ver seen a 2dr. l67 swapped lumina. But I think it would be better to have the l67. A heavily modded 3.4 is like a lightly modded L67 Quote
havikx Posted August 27, 2006 Author Report Posted August 27, 2006 I dont think I have ver seen a 2dr. l67 swapped lumina. no? ha..that'd be great if i was the first! no stats for me there. does any1 know how low mileage l67 and trannys are around? i dont think i'd opt to change unless it still had some life it in. White93z34 Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 if you can find the L67/4t65e-HD and all the assorted parts easy i'd say do that if you just want to go fast. Quote

Euro Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 my guess is that you can find everything you need for the swap(engine/trans/wiring/computer) for around $1400 tops? Quote
White93z34 Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 well downside is he lives in jersy, and if i'm not mistakeing they don't really have much in the lines of reasonable junkyards. Quote
