The other day I saw a 4 door cutty with rims that looked like the ones on the 07 Escalades they looked like 18s. I also saw them on a Alero. Im assuming these rims must fit onto W-bodies without much trouble. I imagine these rims could be found cheap on ebay considering how many people put 24s and such on escalades then sell the stock rims. Im wondering if they would look good on my GP?

Heres a pic for those who dont know what rims im refering to: Escalade_2007.jpg

if i remember correctly from an episode of unique whips the escalades are 6 bolt, so no it must just be a rim that looks like the escalades

COulda been a 98-04 STS rim.. 17" IIRC.. I dont know if 18s were available:

Maybe? Cause the Seville STS/SLS had the 115mm x 5 Bolt Pattern..

They looked almost exactly like the Escalade rims, it had those thick spokes, not like those seville rims. Ill see if I can get a pic next time I see the car. They looked pretty good. It rare to see a W-body with rims around here.

Check the 06+ STS as well.. They have a few differentr choices as well

The rims in that STS picture are the 16s. 17s were only available 01-03. There was no 04 STS.

Anyway, these are the 17s on mine, and the 17s on my brother's '01 DTS. Either of them look like the ones you saw?

Escalade bolt pattern is 6x5.5 and the ones in the pic are the factory 22". I'm pretty sure those weren't them!

I saw some rims the other day on an Equinox that would look good on a W. And they looked like they would fit too.

Yes the STS is awesome. Only thing that scares me about them is the northstar. Screw DOHC motors and their timing belts.

N* has a timing chain.

They really aren't too bad to work on. I've done a starter ( under the intake manifold ), couple water pumps ( common problem ), as well as plugs and other regular things.

I definitely wouldn't want to completely rebuild one though! That's why I'm gettting the extended warranty after I hit 50K on this one.
