94CutlassXtreme
Alright so I got my car started! Basically, becuase a new ECM was used I had to do a relearn for the passkey. Next, I was told that I had to have a CASE learn done which basically has to be done with a scanner. It appearantly has to be done if a new ECM is used OR the crank sensor has been replaced. I've never heard of this. But appearenlty, its done so the ECM knows the proper RPM for rev limit and fuel cutoff, its also so the ECM can accurately sense a misfire in the entire RPM range. Do I need to do this?
digitaloutsider
CASE learns are a 98+ OBD-II thing. Your car is too old to have them.
