Looking for help with brakes and other stuff in Twin Cities

Hi all

I'm relatively new to fixing cars, learning as I go. I'm looking for someone local to help me change the brakes on my cutlass supreme ls. Not sure if any special tools are needed, which I don't have. I've also gotten a free inspection locally, and I was told one of my rotors was rusty, that a ball joint is loose, and something about a tie rod. I can bring the inspection report along with me. If someone is available to help with that, I would be very grateful. Not looking for someone to do it for me, but someone to walk me through everything and help.

This morning I noticed a weird noise from the front left of the car (pretty sure where the ball joint is loose), it makes a creaking noise when I turn to the left, and almost a grinding noise when I stop hard on it. The grinding noise is new, so I'm thinking it's the brakes.

I also need to do a transmission flush, and would like to learn how. I've done oil before, and I have the tranny fluid, just need to pick up the filter. I don't have anywhere to dispose of the fluid, and I don't have a torque wrench to tighten the bolts either.

I just started a delivery job, so I'd like to take care of this asap. Haven't gotten paid yet, but I fix computers on the side (trying to start a computer consulting business) and I have a job or two in the next couple days, waiting on that for the money for the parts. If someone would be generous enough to help me, I'd appreciate it. I'm looking to do this sometime monday, tuesday, wednesday or thursday evening. I'm right around the Mall of America, but I'm willing to drive to wherever.

Anyone willing to help a newbie out??

EDIT: I just re-read this, and it sounds like I'm looking for help with replacing the ball joints and tie rods and stuff as well. I'm just looking for someone to teach me the right way to do brakes, and help with the tranny flush since I don't have a place to dispose of the fluid, or a torque wrench to tighten the bolts properly. With regards to the tie-rod and ball joint, just wanting someone to take a look at it, and let me know how soon I should fix them, since the repair place wants to do it and charge me out the wazoo for it.

I apologize if it was confusing, just got off from working all night

I think the pad's pretty much gone on the left front tire, so I'd like to do my brakes asap. The transmission fluid change can wait for a little while if it has to, but I'd like to do the brakes asap. Anyone willing to help me with the brakes??? I'm more than willing to bring over a 12 pack, or Subway, or order pizza or something. I'd like to do this hopefully monday or tuesday night., anytime from like 4pm to midnight

Let me know!

Thanks!

EDIT: I'm looking to just do the fronts I think, I spoke with someone and they said I could wait on the backs, since there's 30-35% of the pads left on the back. He recommended I check the rotors, though. Anyone willing to help me change the front brake pads???
