I wish I'd bought smaller tips and reccessed them a couple more inches. I have a leather question for all or any w-body. When you guys have the leather option in your cars, like you have toastemcutlass, is the center console pad leather also? Mine is vinyl and cracked with a hole and I want to redo it in leather. I think I can even use the rear console pads from the rear buckets in the GP and Cuttyz in my 91. Same shape just have to put the pad over my plastic frame insert. With cloth interior, I've got the vinal (cracked too) and I'm going to bring it to a automotive interior specialist in town to re-cover it. That might be the way to go. Wouldn't it look better with all the windows tinted except the windshield? Or do you have a law against that where you live? Im just curious as to why you did that! Nice car tho! Love it! toastemcutlass Posted May 11, 2003 Author Report Share Posted May 11, 2003 its not illegal to have tint on the back windows but it is illegal for the front windows. and yeah i also think it would look better with the back tinted too but not that im a puss but if you have ever tried driving a car with dark tint at night it pretty much sucks(backing up) and also to see what type of car is behind you, like a cop. like i said im not a puss but have driven cars with dark tint all around and dont care for it at night. Alot of my friends have 5% tint all the way around and haven't been bothered by the police at all. I wouldn't want 5%, but yah they don't seem to care too much here! It's GREAT! Brian P Posted May 13, 2003 Report Share Posted May 13, 2003 ok. You can take apart the bottom of the armrest with 6 bolts and take a look at the underside and see that it's not leather. I know people who've put hundreds of dollars of work + computer tuning to a 3.4 and I don't think they're running that fast, so Im wondering. As to the armrest, whatever.
