Kuntzie FMIC install thread

ya so its time to install the FMIC...... :)

dimentions are as follows 29" end to end x 9"tall x 3" thick

I willl update this thread in the next couple of days when i get the mandrel bent piping, as well as through the intstall process

nice IC i had one just like it at about 3:00 pm today.mine is the same size just not as nice but i think it was a good deal :cool:

 

why dont you move the ic so we can see the front valence lol

bubbles..... no they dont need to see the valance, i tihnk they have seen enough broken oones already.

 

(although mine isnt broken, it just scraped the ground for about 8 miles and put a hole in it

Wow 29" huh, that is going to be a tight squeeze. The one I have is ~30" and it doesn't have a prayer of fitting easily...

 

This will be interesting though :) Good luck :cool:

it fits, remember i dont have a/c, its already bolted in

k well heres a little update..... the i/c is installed as well as the turbo to i/c piping... just got to finish up the i/c to TB ( all 2/5")

and a true cold air intake/ as well as a pic showing off polished the turbo

hey did you have custom bends made up or did you mix and match with universal bends?

 

have you run it yet? and are you at all worried about overheating??

 

I don't think overheating would be TOO much of a problem, as long as the car is moving down the road these cars stay pretty cool. I have a 160* TS and it will only get above 210 during heavy stop/go traffic at 90+ weather. Even at that if I turn the heater on with cool setting it drops the temps pretty fast right about down to about 170-180. Driving on the freeway even in 100+ temps, its barely getting 160-170. My engine is far from stock to and puts out quite the high EGTs too which doesn't help the cooling.

 

Besides, having no A/C its just like the Intercooler is the A/C condensor now, just thicker.

 

Definitely looks good install though :)

 

I see you put on exhaust wrap as well. You should have put on an EGT gauge while it was apart. I'm still curious to see what others with these engines get for EGTs.
