Psych0matt Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 Any way to queit it down? It's probably about time to change my pads, but I can't do it for a few weeks at least. it just one day all the sudden started squeaking horribly. it even squeaks some when I don't have my foot on the pedal. anything i can do temporarily? SigEpCutlass Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 Um is the caliper ok? Maybe it's siezed and the pads are constantly in contact with the rotor? Quote
slick Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 If it's working properly, take the pads out and put some anti squeal on the back of the pads. Quote
1990lumina Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 this happened to my friend's cavy...htime to replace the brake pads....in his case the pad was so worn that the squaler would not lose contact with the rotor.....and yeah he had to replace everything, but w/e it's for a cavy brakes are like $20 each haha Quote

Crazy K Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 in a few days i will post or send them to you. meanwhile, do the rear pads asap, before rotor damage occurs. it should not take too long... besides with your big ass wheels, you may be able to change the pads without removing the rims... a W-body first!!!
