JakeMetz63
These are all monroe products. Would I need to buy the boots and the mounting kit? I found a shop that will put them on and align it for $144 so I might go there to save myself the time (since I have little free time these days)
Intlcutlass
The price for the labor is REALLY good , but for near the same money on the struts, you could get some KYB's off ebay.
DiscoStudd
Are they for the rear? You don't absolutely need mouts or boots, but here's what can happen to an old mount: Check TireRack.com . IIRC, I paid $48 apiece for KYB GR2 rear struts, $12 ea. for the boots, and $28 ea. for the upper mounts. Something like that (it was over a year ago and I didn't save the receipt, so I'm guessing as to the prices...)
JakeMetz63
Yep, rear parts.
JakeMetz63
$217.71 for KYBs from your place Disco. The parts are much cheaper but they all have to be shipped from three different places around the country. Are KYBs superior to Monroe? If they are I would definately go with the KYBs for a buck more.
DiscoStudd
KYB's are "sportier" than the Monroes. Some people have said the KYB's ride harsh after long trips, but I've noticed no such thing with mine. I can't say much about the Monroe's, but I'm definitely a fan of the KYB's. They make a huge improvement to the car's handling over stock...
dakiln
KYB, Monroe, and Gabriel are all made by Gabriel. WOW, for that price you can buy the GM ones and they even come with new mounting hardware. Here is a pick of the GM ones http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=290008233612&ih=019&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT They are 97.92 each from GM parts direct http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm
ToroToro
I seem to recall someone ( brian p? ) saying that the ACD ones are made by monroe too... Whatever, the GR2s are really nice. I wouldn't say they are harsh, but they are pretty damn firm. I like them.

Actually those may be made by Gabriel soon enough if they buy the Delphi strut lines.
