mischief3003 Posted August 2, 2006 Report Share Posted August 2, 2006 Hey guys what could be the cause of my car haveing bad gas mileage? My mufflers are both rusted out if that matters. Dan94Z34 Posted August 2, 2006 Report Share Posted August 2, 2006 Start with the basics: Plugs, Wires, Air filter, change the oil, dump some of that pass emmissions crap in it(I hear it actually works), and make sure its fully warmed up before you get it tested. fastbird232 Posted August 2, 2006 Report Share Posted August 2, 2006 Oxygen sensors, definately. My four-banger has been getting worse mileage than the LQ1 did, and a quick code-scan yesterday revealed that both of the O2 sensors are shot.
