slick
So... the fiberglass box I made was working good, but it just wasn't the box for this sub. So, after talking to Ryan from Ohio, I had one made from him (hopefully he will chime in the next day or two). I finally picked it up yesterday, and had planned on putting it in tonight, but I couldn't wait, so I did it yesterday afternoon. I still need to do a little fine tuning to the amplifier, but wow, this box really helped this sub greatly!! Here's spec's I am copying and pasting from PM's that me and him had. 2.59 before displacement tuned to 36 Hz. Its a 3" Wide port. The amplifier I am currently using is an Alpine MRV-T757. It is rated for about 450w RMS. I haven't actually checked the amplifier output myself yet, but I would assume it is fairly close. Anyhow, onto the pictures. The box is great build quality. 3/4" MDF used for the build. I do recommend him. His website is http://www.basstronics.net/
slick
And yes, those are minor scuffs on the front of the JL. Thats the price to pay for getting a sub for basically free.

97loudcut
looks good...i dont know if you remeber Kennsington but how does that sub compare to mine loud wise?
slick
I kinda like the port white, it matches my car. As for matching yours, I'm not sure, I've heard soo many stereo's I cannot remember loudness of every single one. The sub is a bit underpowered right now, so it is definately not playing to it's full potential.
Euro
thats sweet man. is it heavy?
slick
thats sweet man. is it heavy? LOL, is it heavy!! HAHAHA, yes very. The box alone weighs about 60 lbs, that sub weighs another ATLEAST 30 lbs, if not more. Talk about fun lifting that into my trunk, and trying to wire everything at the same time. slick
Loudcut, now that I think about it, I think ours were about the same at Kensington. With this new box, mine should be louder at different frequencies than yours now. Like I said, I need a bigger and better amp.

Something like that. Actually, it didn't really affect the back's ride height to awful much actually.

SOunds like eventually it will get changed out to Incriminator subs Oh, so your building a box for him then?? I'm really suprised actually. I thought he would be one to build his own box. The Incriminator's will be a much better choice than the Dubs.
