Maybe An Tech Tip For Added Intake Manifold Sealing

When had a 86 Corvette,350 L98,they were notorious for leaking from the front and back of the engine from the rtv sealer used on the china walls or whatever you call them.I used the tip for my engine and it can apply here too.

I have to do 2 cars intake manifold gaskets soon,a 93 GP and my 97 GP.

A former buddy of mine told me a tip...he said when you get everything off and clean the block rails on the ends, take a small center punch and punch a few dimples across the top of the block rails. That will allow the rtv or sealer you use to get a better bite onto the block and not pull out/blow out later down the road.He swears by it and has built many engines, including a 415 for his vette.

Never gets leaks there anymore.

This works on any just about any GM engine.Just thought I share this with you all.
