Crazy K
no... that is for a digital dash!!!! isn't it? a 94 gtp would have the white wire feed to the cluster, since the orginal cluster had a tach. are you retorfitting a different cluster in or something? Robby1870
Yeah, its a white wire. He said something about trying to locate the wire at the coils. I think there are two white wires in the harness that plugs into the ICM. When I installed a tach on my 92 I just had to hook each one up and see if the tach worked. However, I think the orange ALDL wire will work.
Crazy K
from my own writeup on a guage swap on my 92 lumina: http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php/topic,37037.0.html For the tach, (D9 White - Tach Wire) this wire is absent from within the car. I discovered that the tack wire is a small gauge white wire in the harness that meets the firewall behind the alternator(the C100-C200 connector!). It does not continue past there into the body. Open up this wire loom and you’ll discover bunch of wires. Only about 5 are small gauge, and the white wire will be obvious. Link it from there and run it inside the car to the cluster. Be sure not to have it run where it will not get damaged and shorted. - Crazy K
