Monkton Posted July 27, 2006 Report Share Posted July 27, 2006 I want to replace the digital dash in my 91 Cutlass with the one out of my 91 parts car. The dash in my car sucks nuts. I can't tell the difference between 20 and 30mph because certain parts of the numbers don't light up. Actually it's only the first digit but still. My car is a quad4 and the parts is a 3.1, I was wondering if their was any difference that would make it so the 3.1 cluster not work right in my car or if my mileage would be erased or anything incompatible between the two. THe_DeTAiL3R Posted July 27, 2006 Report Share Posted July 27, 2006 In my 88 GP I changed the Memcal chip to one from an 89, because that eliminated the MAF sensor. I also had to change the Vehicle Speed sensor on the tranny, because my speedo was way off... So anyways I would guess it's the ECM and/or speed sensor that would probably have any effect on the cluster... you should be fine I would think.
