bigshynepo
I am looking to install 5 monitors in the car (sun visors, head rests, review) running from a video amplifier. Problem is, most generic amplifiers only offer 1 video in and I was hoping to hook up two sources (review camera, psp). I have seen some alpine and pioneer stuff that seems to be exactly what I'm looking for, but I was told they only work with brand specific headunits. I just happen to have the most undersupported headunit ever (the panasonic ghost style) so this is all going to take some Mcgyvering anyways. To the point, anyone know where I can find a video amplifier with at least 5 outputs and allows for two video inputs? I can worry about getting a remote and TV that can switch to V1, V2, etc afer....but for now, i'm a little puzzled on this. (I am a complete car audio n00b) EDIT** KVA-S300 http://www.kenwood.ca/products/ListProduct.aspx?k1=2&k2=38&k3=149&pr=1976 Kinda like this I guess...1 less output, 2 more inputs but right idea.. rakooon
You know i was looking for the same thing, but i went to a local shop called... Al's Autosound and asked for the same exact thing and the sales guy said that he never heard of such a thing. They deal in most of the major brand names too, so i had to settle with one that has one input and seven outputs it was like $40. But who knows that was a while ago. sorry for the no help post
slick
I swear they do sell amplifiers, but your looking for one that has dual/switchable inputs correct? Why not just have an A/V switch in your car. You can have multiple inputs to one output to the amplifier, then i guess if the amplifier doesn't have as many outputs as you are looking for, you could use splitter(but you may lose just a bit of quality, but not near as much as you would just using splitters right out of the deck). rakooon
Just buy a flip out dvd player indash unit that has a multi zone function that allows you to control 2 different displays. you can have a dvd video play in the back and the indash unit can play the radio or whatever but its all controlled from the indash unit. the one i have automaticly switches to reverse camera when shifted into reverse. it has the multizone feature which is a really nice feature. just look into it like the jenson vm9510ts. its a so so brand but has all the things i assume you want. bigshynepo
Yeah, it looks like most headunits these days have specific hookups for the camera and video game systems, this device would almost do the job for me though. http://www.cardomain.com/item/POWAVIR5
