GTP exhaust on Lumina Sedan?

Recommended Posts

There's a 93 GTP at the local yard which has a nice exhaust system will it fit my Lumina?

It would save me a lot of money on a new exhaust system.

it should bolt right up

Yep, It just may have a different cat, but that shouldn't make any difference

IIRC-Ken had GP exhaust on his lumina.

EDIT: Wait yeah he did.

Yep, he did.

That's the wonderful thing about the universitility of w-body's.

You may have to use a 2 inch to 2.25 adapter. I had to use that with my exhaust... but it was from a euro 3.4, so I am not entirly sure.

no sorry!!! it was a 94 Z-34 exhaust system. it was cut and spliced on the straight section that passes on the right of the gas tank. all i did was tighten a clamp to shrink the larger 2 1/4 pipe onto the 2 inch pipe (or was it 2 1/2 onto 2 1/4?)

But it will interchange no problem!

You're still going to have to do some cutting though. I dont see the bolts at the cat coming loose...typically they are rusted beyond help, so it's not going to "bolt right up". Best thing to do is what Ken did.

you can unbolt the downpipe at the motor and drop the whole deal as a unit if you've got a way to get it home. that's the best way to go.
