putting things back together

I was doing the lower intake manifolds, and am well on my way to putting everything back together.

But I'm kind of stuck, hopefully someone can help. I might be able to post pics later.

There are two things I don't know where they were connected.

The first is an electrical connector, it's a male plug, two wires on it. Actually there's one of these back around the coil packs and one of these (looks identical!) at the end of the injector wiring harness. Which one plugs back into the ignition module?? Where does the other go?

Second thing is a vacuum line. There's this rectangular plastic box at the very top, just behind the upper intake. It has a T connection underneath it. One end is still connected, the other isn't.

Thanks for any help/ideas...

Brian

p.s. SORRY forgot the obvious - 1995 Cutlass Supreme 3.1

Well without any pictures best I can suggest is that the plug will only reach so far and likely it's only gonna reach one connector so you're gonna have to figure it out on your own.

well. are you saying these connectors are identical,

which is to say they are two wires and are identical to the ones for the temp sensor, the module, the hood light, the snesor that pokes into the airbox.

I think you may have the temp sensors connector.

if in doubt. Give us the wire colors. i have a 94 and 95 3100 outside i can look at.

I think the rectangle box connects to the small vacuum line off the top of the throttlebody, and I forget where the other end goes..

I beleive I also had an extra wire connector that didn't connect to anything.

It took me like 12hrs (over the course of a week) cause I took my time and labled EVERYTHING with masking tape.. so I didn't forget where anything went.

Ok, I found one of the two-wire connectors goes to plug right by the thermostat, must be coolant temp related.

The vacuum line I figured out as well.

Now - related question. When you put the fuel rail on, do the two thick bundles of wires that exit behind the rail both go UNDER the rail?? One leads to a large connector near the alternator, the other leads to a vacuum box of sorts which is plugged into the upper plenum.

I think both of these wire bundles were tucked under the rail, not over. Should have taken digital pics at every step.

Thanks.

Thanks for those pics CutlassDude. The connector you show is for the variable effort power steering, I didn't undo that one at all fortunately.

I since then have figured out the original two problems.

My only question now is, Did the two wire bundles that come off the injector wiring both go UNDER the fuel rail at the back?

Two wire bundles at rear rail:

p.s.

For those who may be originally curious what I was talking about earlier, but I figured this out already:

The "box" in the 1st pic is the MAP sensor, 2nd pic is the CTS (coolant temp sensor - the sensor that the PCM gets its info from, not the one for the temp gauge in the dash cluster...)
