97loudcut
Thinking about buying the FFP motor mounts and I was just wondering what was everyones expierence with them. What are the good and the bads and are they worth the money. Did you notice any diffrence?
SigEpCutlass
IIRC, you will have to change your metal brackets to use those mounts...you will need the Pre '94 brackets.
Psych0matt
i bought mine used for like 40$. I didn't notice an incredible difference, but at the same time everything seemed to be tighter and less sloppy. I think it's worth the money just knowing it wont wear out, but that's just me

SigEpCutlass
I was told in the past that the brackets were different. I have an early '94 car, so I still have the older style of mounting brackets.
digitaloutsider
If you have the newer generation mounting brackets they won't work. They don't fit.
z284pwr
I have them, they have done a fine job on our TGP....and they look a HELL of a lot better than the stock wimpy looking things
19Cutlass94
Q: Will the 3.1 W-body dog bones fit my 3100 W-body?A: Yes and No. Some late model '93s and early model '94s with the 3100 SFI use the same mounts as the 3.1 MPFI. The easiest way to tell the difference is to look at the end of the dog bone above the radiator. If that end has a large square rubber bushing, then it has the newer 3100 SFI style mounts. If both ends of the dogbone have a round rubber bushing, then it's most likely a 3.1 MPFI style mount. If you have the 3100 SFI style mount and want to use the 3.1 MPFI style, you can use all the brackets and hardware from a 3.1 MPFI. You can usually find the necessary brackets and hardware at a salvage yard fairly cheap.
Z34-5speed
I have the dogbone for the LQ1 and i love it. It makes the inside of the car alot louder and you feel the engine moving. Great quality. Kyle

Euro
meh i had mine on the car for like 2 weeks. got sick of the shaking of the car/rattling etc and took them off. IMO they're too expensive, but thats just me

Robby1870
I just drilled out the engine side of the factory dog bones to a 1 3/4" hole. Got some Fiero torsion brace ( I think) poly-U bushings and installed them. Usually, the radiator side of the dogbone bushings arent too bad. So, each of my dogbones is 1/2 poly-U. You get the best of both worlds this way. No slop when shiftings from R to D or normal shifting, etc, but none of the engine vibrations are felt in the car. I had done this to both ends of my dogbones for a while and couldnt stand the vibration. This solved the problem.

(I do have an Optima Yellow Top) If I were you, I would consider upgrading your alternator and redo your power and ground cables to 4 guage. BTW, if you really want to get the dogbones, maybe me, tony, and you could hit up parts galore and pull the correct mounts for ya.
