Has anyone used this brand of tire on their car? If so, how would you rate them?

I ask because my Infiniti is due for two new tires (215/55/R17), and a lot of people here in NY swear by Coopers. I'm interested in the Zeon A/S tire, but I've always been a Michelin guy, and am hesitant to change for any reason. So, any input about Cooper tires is appreciated.

Thanks!

Joe

Cooper light truck tires are nice, I have them on mine. I have never had them on one of my cars though, but from the LT tires I would say do it. The Lifeliner is a popular and reasonably priced tire. Thats the only one I know of.

So I have heard as well, Ryan. The Lifeliner SLE sport seems to be a good pick, but I wish the cooper site would tell you what the real difference is between that and their Zeon line.

As a fellow NYer I don't swear by them, but I've only heard good things.

Cooper Lifeliners are cheap tires. The reason they are so popular is because tire dealers push them because they get them for cheap. If you are going to buy a Cooper you may as well buy a Champiro LOL. Champiros are cheaper, look cooler, and have a 10,000 mile lower lifespan rating. Plus they have a rounded edge, and much better profile. If you want a really cheap tire that looks like a lifeliner but costs less and performs as well go with a Wingro GT Radial, the tread is the same design almost identically.

The Champiros are soft and sporty with rather ridgid sides for a GT tire. They have an agressively styled bead line that is very difficult to get on the rim, since the sides are so tight and ridgid. If you buy those tires make sure you watch the installer because the tire machine will tear them easily if they are not set up on the machine correctly.

Well also being from NY, I havent had them, but I know people who have. There not a bad tire at all for the price. Ive heard good about them.

i've had them before, the ones i had were alright, but seemed to wear fast.

My Lumina has Cooper LifeLiners on the front...I don't mind them...they are probably 7 years old....been through 2 winters with them and they worked great...in summer they are good enough....hell I can't even corner fast anymore or my tranny will take a shit so yeah lol.....

When I replace all 4 tires next spring I'm going to buy some cheap Kumho tires....my dad has these cheap Kumho tires on his Taurus....they are currently past their mileage guarantee by 10k miles, though they need to be replaced before winter (as you can see, my family doesn't use winter tires lol)....

Say what you want about Cooper tires, but I haven't had a problem with them and would recommend them if found for a good price.

I haven't had Cooper tires, but I've used Mastercraft which is basically the same tire. I like 'em. Although I did like my old Goodyears that were on my Cutty more, but overall my Mastercraft's wear good and even and have plenty of traction for a 2 ton W body.

Oh a side note, my mother used to LOVE coopers on her old 1st Gen GP's when she had them...soo....

cooper makes alot of different tire brands...i've never had experiance with cooper, but i used to work @ a tire store where we sold mastercrafts and i had mastercrafts on my old cutlass...very good tires IMO and a good price...cooper also makes the AVON TECH tires they sell @ tire rack...soo, yeah, i'd recommend cooper tires

I had Cooper Cobras on my T/A for a season... they're nice tires. Not very soft though. When I took them off they looked brand new still, and I had done some pretty good burnouts with them. I liked them because they were very reasonably priced and with the tire compound they would last forever.

I probably wouldn't put them on a performance car agian, but for everyday driving they're really good tires.

Again. 3rd set I have had. All have been excellent. Used to run a fleet of 15 trucks/cars. All had coopers and each vehicle would run over 65k to a set. In Central Nebraska in all types of weather. Never failed.

I had Cooper Cobra Radial GTs on my van. They were great tires. A bit on the pricey end, 70 per tire, but they had a long life, great pavement stickers.

My Mastercraft tires, made by Cooper, have been dry rotting and cracking on the sidewall for the last year. They're about 4 years old.
