Euro
My dad and his buddy did Tie rod ends on our 84 Monte, and they offered to get my plugs(or half) done on my car. They got half done since they didnt have a rachet or anything....but the funny part was, my car was idleing rough for a while. So they took the front 3 plugs out, and the gaps ranged from .48-.65. LOL yep.... i busted out laughin when my dad told me this just a few minutes ago.....so im hoping it should run just a TINY bit better now
stevegasm
noice. what kind of gas mileage were you getting on that thing too?
Cam'ron
i thought this was gonna be another one of those... "how do i get to my back 3 plugs?" threads... thats alot of range in the gaps though no wonder you were having some issues, let us know what the back 3 are at when you get them out. Robby1870
When I got this STE, I did the plugs and wires. Old wires were terrible, front plugs were decent, but the back three were not only rusted, but the gaps on them ranged from .060" to .085". Apparently, whoever owned it before me never changed the back three plugs.
19Cutlass94
I should probably check my plugs sometime soon...
Crazy K
you're supposed to change plugs?
Euro
lol yeah it runs suprisingly better and has some low end pickup now. monday i believe is when we're doing all the wires and the back 3 plugs it idles SOOO Much smoother now too. still jumps a little, like less than 200 rpms or so i'd say, but still hella better than 400+ i was getting sometimes and as far as gas mileage, i drive shitty around here, its like .2 miles to work, and school's like 10 minutes away, i dont do any REAL driving. so it was like 19-
