DOHCRagtopguy Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Friday night, drove the Cutty to my Bro-in-laws house. Tossed some shoes, had some beers. Got in to go home, it started then died when I put it in gear. Did this 3 times. Then would just crank and crank, no start. Got po'd, drank more beer, called wife to come get me. About 45 mins later when she got there, tried it again. Fired right up, no problem. Drove home with wife (too many beers) went back got Cutty next day. Started fine, ran perfect all weekend, started hot or cold, drove to work today no sweat. Made appointment tomorrow for diagnostic scan. Even though there's no codes thrown at all. Cutty now was 91200 miles on it. Cars will be the death of me, I swear!! Quote
NOHC_WBody Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 I've found that both W's I have owned have a tendency to break right after I wash/wax them. When I first got my Cutty, I washed & waxed it. Within 3 days, I had to replace the alternator & battery. All of the trouble I had with my GTP (the transmissions, the motor) happened right after i did something nice to the car. I'd buy headlight covers. BLAMMO!. Transmission spits diff parts onto the pavement...and so on & so forth. Quote
DOHCRagtopguy Posted May 5, 2003 Author Report Posted May 5, 2003 I was thinking maybe mine was po'd at me because I hadn't had a chance to wash it for a week and it was covered with dust and pollen. I forgot to mention, no codes at all were thrown either! Quote

chronic139 Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 My GTP likes to come at me with electrical problems after I set the compass in the DIC. I didnt know how to set it for 1 1/2 years and no problems. Someone told me and i did it and the Alt. went. Next time I set it the ignition module blew. I just leave it uncalibrated now. Quote
