briandors
Fuel pressure is 0 to 5 psi. Car will idle, barely, can't accelerate. Can I be sure it's the fuel pump? Could it be the fuel pressure regulator? How would diagnose the difference. Fuel filter replaced during troubleshooting process and that didn't help. briandors
No, I don't think so, but not 100% sure. Any other tests?
Turbo231
It's the fuel pump. You didn't mention mileage, but your car is old enough. I think even if the FPR totally crapped out, you'd still have some pressure. Need some help...check out my procedure on doing your pump. http://members.aol.com/regal231/fuel.htm You'll want to change your filter again a little bit after changing your pump. Banging around all those lines and shaking up the tank kicks a lot of crap into the system.
