Oil Guage works in reverse?

Ok so I have the Regal UB3 swapped into my Lumina. And I have changed to oil poressure sensor to a guage type sensor.... but for some reason my oil pressure guage works in reverse. When sitting at idle the guage reports 80psi (the max), when I rev to anything over 800 rpm's the guage will drop down to 40psi or so, the higher I rev the lower the psi reported. I didnt change the wiring for the sensor, it used the same plug.

 

Any ideas?

Are you sure that the wire is in the right slot?

 

Test this... unplug the wiring connector from the sensor and see if the guage still read the same, or if it read high or low... etc.etc..
