Crazy K
changing the fluid will hurt nothing. If you don't know it if has ever been done, I would do it,.
ShockTherapy
i'd go for it, it's not like it's gonna hurt anything.

DiscoStudd
That's why they throw in the "3 years" when they say "3 years or 50,000 miles" for the coolant change interval. Fluids need to be changed, whether the interval be miles or years (or months in the case of oil changes) so do what the owner's manual says and change the fluids at whatever interval comes first... 1990lumina
wish I had pictures of the coolant from my friend's '94 Mustang GT...I believe it was original...all sludge and brown...
THe_DeTAiL3R
If it were my car I'd just drop the pan and change the filter. Top up with fresh fluid. If it were dark in color then I'd flush it.

CdnCutty
I have an appointment with the dealer because since I drive a 95 they may be able to transfer me over to dex-cool..they have to check my build date to see if I qualify....if they can, I shall change over to dex-cool if not the green stuff....I`d take the time to flush it myself..but my house is in the process of being built and all my fiancee and I`s time is being spent on the new project so to speak
Crazy K
wait... you want to put DEX-CRAP in there? no! the only advantage is that you are supposed to be able to neglect it more. and I think that is not true. If the fluid looks ok for right now, wait till you have a chance later to do it yourself. I get Prestones extended life antifreeze. pure... and mix it myself with distilled water... it means I'll be paying about $4.25 a gallon for a 50/50 mix and have a good quality antifreeze to show for it.
