jslater504
I have a 95 cutlass with 3100 4t60-E, I change the engine and trans but the trans came out of a 92 cutlass international with 3.4 dohc also with 4T60-E. Ok here is my problem. I have rev. N and one foward gear but its not first it seems like third not sure I know it doesn't shift I know the trans was good to start with. Is my problem something that I can fix or would I be better off gettin a diffrent trans? I found one for the cheap but would a 96 trans be any diffrent? I can't find a interchange guide online and I'm on a budget... Thanks for any help or advice

Mach 5
This is the electronic version right? If so, the solenoids might be bad. Have your mechanic inspect them. As far as what trans goes in which car, i don't really know as I have the 440T4 on mine.
mfewtrail
It's not a solenoid issue, it's a matter of changing around wires so that they correspond with how the '92 is wired up(92 & 95 are wired a little differently). Go to this website and right click/save as on the following diagrams. http://home.att.net/~subzero350/index.htm 1991 3.4L Twin-Dual Cam V6 W-body (336 kb) & 1994-95 Buick Regal 3800 (291 kb) Extract the files using WinZip or some other program and then compare the transaxle connector wiring(the 1991-1992 wiring will have this connector listed on page 1, the 94-95 Real wiring will have the transaxle connector on the last page of the diagram). Then all you need to do is switch wires on the connector around as needed. And before anyone asks, the wiring diagrams I listed have identical wiring to the transaxle connector although they're not directly listed for a 92 or 95 Cutlass(I compared them to other diagrams to confirm this) EDIT: Also, here's a transaxle plug connector labeled that might help you(the plug itself is labeled, but this might help you out). Mach 5
I hate wires. Just make sure you dont screw up. Dont want to be putting it in drive and going in reverse. That isnt always fun.
