Transaxle Swap(1994 Regal 4T60-E to 1993 Lumina 4T60-E)

What all would this swap entail? The 1994 Regal in question has a 3.8/L27 in it and the 4T60-E has the pulse width modulated TCC solenoid. The 1993 Lumina 4T60-E does not have the PWM solenoid and I'm pretty sure there are some wiring differences between the two years(anyone here have access to alldata or mitchell manuals? If so, please send me some diagrams for the two year models above. Diagrams covering the wiring from the transaxle to computer would be nice. ). I figure I can switch a few pins/wires around if necessary and the PWM solenoid not being there is no problem(I pulled the wire for the PWM apply solenoid out of the transaxle connnector on my friends car earlier today and the transaxle didn't care whether it was there or not. To my knowledge, it's only there to make the TCC engage more smoothly. The TCC engagement on all non-PWM 4T60-E's I've experienced has never been harsh enough to warrant a pwm solenoid anyways.

This will be going into my friends A to B beater Regal if it's not more trouble than it's worth to swap out. His 4T60-E is slipping badly and there was a ton of clutch material in the pan when we dropped it the other night. The reason I'm after the '93 Lumina 4T60-E is because I can get it for $100 and it only has a whopping 25K miles on it(if my friend doesn't end up getting it for the Regal, I'm snagging it to throw in my storage shed ).

i've done it. i put a 91 3.4L trans in a 94 3.1 car. all you need are the tranny plug diagrams for both and rewire as necessary to get the proper ground and shift solenoid wiring.

That's what I figured. Thanks for the confirmation Pat.

definately going to have to pull the side pan and transfer the electronics over, may want to change the TCC solonoid while your at it, just to be safe

I did away with my PWM solenoid on my car. Yes the converter does act like it should, but it is also a little harsher than tranny's that never had a PWM solenoid.

Just wanted to mention that I have all the wiring diagrams/connector views I needed(thanks for that connector view Sean!). I'll probably end up swapping out the transaxle this weekend or early next week.
