Psych0matt
So, I got the code read, and it wasn't the o2 like i thought it might be (thats a relief), it was a bad egr valve. so, needless to say i used a whole can of brake cleaner and cleaned them all up decently, and i havent had the SES light come back on (had him clear the codes). But it's still severely lacking power and seems to be getting worse. im going to take it in and get it checked out, but the only thing i can think of is maybe my catalytic converter. sound possible? would/could the egr messing up foul it up? Supreme Cutlass
have you cleaned out the throttlebody and the plenum? It's probably covered in carbon. Might try some TEC or seafoam.
Psych0matt
seafoamed it a little over a month ago right after it first started acting up
Psych0matt
looks like my exhaust was a little backed up at my cat, but got a new one and I'm back to the timing still being off. at least I don't work tomorrow and have time to retime it 3 or 4 times if need be
