Supreme Cutlass Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 My transmission pump has sounded like it's on it's way out ever since I got the car. I did a filter & fluid change which seemed to help alot, but it still makes the supercharger noise when it's hot. Should I just baby it along? or start looking for a new tranny right now? SigEpCutlass Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Before I got my cutlass, the maintenance records showed that the transmission cooler lines were replaced due to leaking. Have you looked at those to ensure that they are ok? I figure that could have some significant negative impact over time if they weren't working properly. Just a thought. Quote

Hmm, I should probably change those, that's one aspect I never thought about. The lines are really gross-looking, but for some reason I didn't think they would hurt much since they weren't actually leaking. Thanks. Quote
SigEpCutlass Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 If they are just dirty, no harm no foul. If they're leaking, then I'd do something about them. Quote
