Supreme Cutlass
After reading about Brian's new hood, I was wondering why you'd reduce weight in the front. correct me if I'm wrong but I thought you wanted more weight in the front and less weight in the rear in a fwd car? 97loudcut
The hood is not going to make any diffrence when you whole ENGINE is allready up front. Also I belive this hood has functional scoops, maybe not.
94CutlassSLCoupe
if you reduce wieght on the front wheels, the car will handle better...these things are so front heavy its rediculous
ToroToro
Yeah, whether it be FWD or RWD, you want to be as close as you can to a 50/50 weight balance. As said, these cars are front heavy.

For handling, yes. For traction, especially winter traction, it's preferable to have as much weight over the drive wheels as possible. It depends on what your wants are.
