After reading about Brian's new hood, I was wondering why you'd reduce weight in the front. correct me if I'm wrong but I thought you wanted more weight in the front and less weight in the rear in a fwd car?

The hood is not going to make any diffrence when you whole ENGINE is allready up front. Also I belive this hood has functional scoops, maybe not.

if you reduce wieght on the front wheels, the car will handle better...these things are so front heavy its rediculous

Yeah, whether it be FWD or RWD, you want to be as close as you can to a 50/50 weight balance. As said, these cars are front heavy.

what is the wieght distribution like anyway?? My rx-7 is near 50/50, never knew what my Lumina is

HEHE my car is almost a perfect 50/50. if anything its alittle heavy in the rear. :willynilly:

For handling, yes. For traction, especially winter traction, it's preferable to have as much weight over the drive wheels as possible. It depends on what your wants are.
