ron350
I am looking for the latest information on the best intake manifold gaskets for 3.1 and 3100? Has GM upgraded these gaskets lately like they did with the 3800II gaskets? Thanks Ron.
19Cutlass94
Yes. I went to the dealer to get them. They are all updated.
Robby1870
For a GenII 3.1L, use the paper felpro ones. In fact, it seems felpro figured out gasket better than GM did for its own engines, even some of the newer ones.
95oldsVan
Yep,always used Fel Pro gaskets on all my cars...never had problems after that. Also,go buy permatex's sealer called The Right Stuff...its not cheap but will probably never ever leak.I use it for wherever they call for RTV...I never use the RTV that comes with the gasket kits...the Right Stuff is the best shat I ever seen or used.Worth every penny. 19Cutlass94
I duno about the fel-pro. Some love it, others dont. I guess its kinda split. But NAPA sells that RTV stuff. Its like 6 bucks but it works and hasnt leaked yet on my intake gaskets...
