Psych0matt Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 so I most definitely cannot reach it from the bottom, at least not by hand, and there wouldnt be enough leverage from the top even if i could reach it i think. who else has done this or knows what the heck I can do to swap this out? Quote
slick Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 Me, Jay, and Tony did my car. If it wasn't for the fact that some wires had melted to it, it would have been cake. BTW, unbolt the downpipe, and undo some of your exhaust hangers. That should give you enough clearance. But, if not, get a racheting tow strap, put the trans in neutral, and rock the engine as forward as possible. You will need several extensions, a universal, and lots of electrical tape to hold the extensions together. Quote
Crazy K Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 rachet strap? don;t look at me I've got one...... Quote
89GP_SE Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 if he rotates the motor, wont he have to disconnect the exhaust from the headers first Quote
slick Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 if he rotates the motor, wont he have to disconnect the exhaust from the headers first When you pushrods owners change your plugs by rocking the engine forward, do you disconnect your exhaust? Didn't think so. Quote
